Strawberry and Banana Smoothie

If you’re a huge smoothie lover just like me, then get your lips around this. My first drink to post here on The Brophy Blog, a strawberry & banana smoothie.

It’s fresh, good for you, extremely tasty and takes less than five minutes to make! It’s great to have for a workout, not because it’s loaded with protein but simply because it tasted gorgeous and will leave you feeling refreshed. The amount quoted here should be enough for making a smoothie for two people.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250g strawberries
  • 1 fresh peeled banana
  • 500ml of low-fat milk
  • Ice
  • 1 tblsp of honey
  • 1ml natural yoghurt

DIRECTIONS

Easy one this! Just add all ingredients to a blender, mix and serve immediately. Don’t add too much ice or the drink will be thick and you’ll have to put it aside for half an hour to “melt down” a touch.
